The Onimusha 2: Demon Siege has been rated by many to be one of the best games of this generation. It's a stealth action-adventure game that's played entirely in first-person. It was made for PC and features great graphics and more than 20 hours of gameplay. The protagonist is Samanosuke Akechi, a samurai warrior, who has learned the secrets to his clan's sword technique only to lose it in front of his eyes when attacked by demons who steal it from him while he sleeps outside on leave. He awakens in a village to find that he has been caught in a web of demons. He must learn the secrets of the clan's sword technique from his dying grandfather, put an end to the demon threat, and save his love, Chizuru. The gameplay takes place entirely in first-person perspective with a few third-person perspective moments during story sequences. Selecting weapons and skills is done through a menu that can be controlled by the mouse or keyboard. Players may move around the environment to access areas and objects, and can jump onto platforms and ledges to gain advantageous positions. Samanosuke has two attacks: one unarmed strike and one "Onimusha" strike which unleashes powerful energy when possessed by Oni. The game is divided into chapters with an overworld map that connects the locations. The game has a day-and-night system, and its missions are assigned to Samanosuke by means of episodes, each of which contain missions that arc into the next episode. The game is set in feudal Japan during the Sengoku period. Samanosuke Akechi, a courageous samurai warrior who has learned the secrets to his clan's sword technique, loses it in front of his eyes when attacked by demons who steal it from him while he sleeps outside on leave. He awakens in a village to find that he has been caught in a web of demons. He must learn the secrets of the clan's sword technique from his dying grandfather, put an end to the demon threat that has gripped feudal Japan, and save his love, Chizuru. The game is divided into three episodes following Samanosuke Akechi. The game begins in a village where Samanosuke is caught with poison darts by demons who steal the Onimusha Sword. As he wakes up in pain he cannot find Chizuru anywhere. He decides to go on an adventure through Japan to search for her. He travels through many different locations like villages, temples, campsites and ancient ruins before defeating Oda Nobunaga with help from Hideyoshi Toyotomi. The game then continues in an area that is currently under attack by demons. He is asked by his father to take care of his younger brother, Katsura, who wishes to become a monk. The game then proceeds back in time to when Samanosuke was a child. It is revealed that Oda Nobunaga hired the demons from the first episode to destroy the Onimusha clan by selling their sword techniques. He also sends minions from Miroku, a demon from the second episode, to stop Samanosuke's grandfather from dying before he can teach him how to wield the Onimusha Sword.
